🎶 What Happens in an Online Songwriting Session? (Let’s pull back the curtain…)

Hi Reader,

Have you ever wondered what it’s really like to write a song during an online session?

Whether you're brand new to songwriting or you're looking to sharpen your skills, I want to give you a sneak peek into what happens when we meet on Zoom to create music together.

Here’s what you can expect from our time together:

🎧 1. We Start with You
We’ll drop into the space with a brief meditation, followed by a check in and chat about how you’re feeling, what’s been on your mind, or any creative ideas you've been sitting with. No pressure—just a gentle way to find our starting point.

📝 2. We Find a Spark
Whether it’s a melody, a line you’ve jotted down, or even a feeling you can’t quite name yet, we’ll uncover the emotional or lyrical thread that wants to be followed.

🎤 3. We Build the Song Together
Using prompts, guided questions, and my step-by-step toplining approach, we’ll shape your ideas into real lyrics and melody—live, in the moment. Don’t worry if you’re not a singer or don’t play an instrument. I’ll help guide the musical direction so you can focus on your words and story.

🪄 4. You’ll Be Surprised What Comes Out
Most people finish a session with a full song draft—or at least a powerful chorus and verse. Either way, you’ll walk away with something real and raw that came from you.

🎁 5. You’ll Leave with More than a Song
Yes, you’ll leave with lyrics, melody ideas, and a recording of the session—but you’ll also leave with a sense of release, confidence, and connection to your own voice.

💡 These sessions are for you if:

  • You’ve been carrying feelings you want to express creatively
  • You’re curious about songwriting but unsure where to start
  • You’ve written songs before but want a fresh approach
  • You want a safe space to experiment, express, and grow

Weekly Newsletter 8.14.25 From Silence to Song: My First Release in 8 Years (Out soon!) Hi Reader, I still remember the moment I decided to take singing lessons again, years after graduating from Berklee College of Music. Back when I graduated, my voice teacher told me, “This is just the beginning. Keep studying after you leave here.” But life has a way of pulling you in different directions. I had to find a full-time job to stay in Boston, and I was also managing some medical challenges. I...
